Who doesn't love a good party? For those in the community who can't pass up the opportunity to have a refreshing margarita and countless tortilla chips, Cinco de Miles is the perfect 5K for you! Burn off some calories and celebrate Mexico's victory at the Battle of Puebla by joining us for the second annual Cinco de Miles 5K in Michiana!
We are excited to annouce that we will have live music before and after the race! Mariachi Mexico, a seven piece band, will get runners and walkers warmed up for the race, and welcome them back to Central Park after 3.1 miles along the Mishawaka Riverwalk.
The Humane Society
Cinco de Miles 5K is proud to support the Humane Society of Saint Joseph County (HSSJC), a local nonprofit organization working hard to provide medical treatment, food and shelter for rescued and abandoned animals as they await adoption. Incorporated in 1886, the HSSJC is one of Indiana’s oldest service organizations and still the area’s largest animal care facility. Servicing the greater St. Joseph County region and multiple municipalities, the HSSJC sees over 3,750 animals each year. Their mission is to instill reverence for all life and to enhance the human/animal bond through the compassionate care of animals and community education.
